IF1066 hydraulics issues

for several weeks we have had issues with our hydraulics. i have already read that we need to fill 2-4" over the fill line to deal with some of the issues. initially, in very cold weather, everything would freeze up until it ran for a while. steering, buckets not lifting, etc.

well, the other day, everything was working well and then the bucket stopped raising all the way. one hose specifically would suddenly jerk and that was all that the bucket would go up. our fluid level is at the full mark at the moment and is the fullest it has been for months. it was suggested to check the connections and upon disconnecting and reconnecting the connections, the bucket now does not rise any. the tilts work correctly, and everything else seems to be correct, just the rise of the bucket.

Does your 1066 have the IH couplings or Pioneer couplings?

Are you using adapters to go from pioneer to IH?

I have had those adapters to bad and do goofy things.

If you have the IH with the lever to engage the ball on the end of the coupling, check to make sure the knob that engages the ball on the coupling is moving with the lever like it should.

had a lift cyl.on a disc that the spring retainer came loose inside the coupler it would and wouldn't lift,i thought something had come apart an was checking the flow of fluid, after being aggravated by it halve a day i finally noticed the ball in on one of the male couplers wasn't tight against the seat, tore it apart and found the spring retainer loose ,by it being loose it couldn't push the ball tight enough against the female coupler pin to hold it off its seat which made it check the fluid flow, though it was a major problem but turned out simple
