1. Is there a way to plumb the loader in so that it isn't on the remotes? really would like to have a joystick anyway.

2. Anyone got a wiring diagram for one? Mines wiring is screwed and I want to rewire it this spring.

3. Can you get replacement gauge panels or is a guy better off just putting in real gauges? (tach works great but the idiot lite/gauge side is bad)

Thanks

Rick

Rick, Email me. I am in the middle of doing a refurbish on a 1206 right now. I would love to share some ideas and can maybe get you some of the info your seeking. I have decided to basically redo the whole instrumentation to fit what I want and need. I am also having to refit the electrical system to bring it up to the requirements the law is placing on us if we want to travel on the paved roads. So email me. and we will hook up with some photos and ideas. LarryT

If you don't want to use the existing remotes to operate the loader what you need to do is to install a "power beyond" valve at the end of the remotes's control stack (located under the seat). I have an 806 settup this way & it allows me to use the loader and still have the hyd remotes available for other use

OK thanks, I'm and old retired Army guy and am trying to get the family farm back going. It's getting to be a pain to have to change the romote hookups every time I have to feed a bale and then blow snow.

BDJ thanks printed out the wiring diagram. Will be a big help!

Book marked the Bates page so I will be getting to that once it warms up in the spring.

Again thanks!

hi i am going to put a cab on my 706 and also want to put a joystick for running my loader do you happen to have a parts list for plumbing the joystick. also i was thinking of adding flashers and turn signals what do you recommend for doing this

There are a lot of options that are there to select from. Look around for a used Westerdorf WL42 or IH2350 loaders. they both use the joysticks. or http://www.link_disallowed/acatalog
Loader_Valve.html and there are a few others around. You may try looking in a few other places like Norther Tool and Equipment has them for about $200 or so.

As far as the electrical changes go with the turn and caution flashers there should be a couple of switches on the panel. The caution or hazard light should be one of the selection on the multi- position light switch. Now if it's been butchered like mine has you may think about looking and seeing what else has been butchered. I found out that I am going to build a complete new switch/ circuit breaker panel for my tractor. And reposition all the switches to it and clean up the old panels down by my knees for something else. I plan on attaching the new panel using the two existing bolts that are on either side of the cowl right in front of the throttle. It will also hold the additional gauges that I am going to be installing plus the ones that I am going to relocate so I can see them better at a glance. I was in aviation for 37 years and instruments that I can't see at a glance just drive me crazy. Send me your email address or contact me at [email protected] and I will get into more detail. I know how many here hate ling drawn out posts and I am great at long and drawn out. Sincerely, LarryT
