How does this style of front bumper mount ? Looks like it pins (using the pin that keeps the the axle from spinning inside the clamp) or the Front Clamp Pinch Bolt. In either case, it doesn't seem like the strongest way to mount a bumper.

Offset fans, can you post better pictures of how your bumper mounts ? If you've made a better mounting bumper, can you post pictures?

Just remembered a recent post on this forum.
It looks as if the pinch bolts were used, possibly longer-than-standard bolts with some spacers. Still not very sturdy.

bumper on 130?

I thought it had its own clamps and it sat beside the others. But I don't see the other half of the clamps in the picture. and I also thought there was a center brace that hooked on about where the left beam and bumper come together and it went up and tied into the bottom of the radiator support. How strong does it really need to be?

It's a brush guard, not a bumper. It's meant to keep bushes and low-hanging branches from crinkling the grille.

You're not supposed to use it to knock down trees or push cows.

So if it attaches to the pinch bolts, this it has to swivel as the front end swivles. This could be good, could be bad.Should give good protection to the front-mounted tie rod ends, no matter how they are tilted,
but,
I just don"t see a lot of strength for that amount of weight sitting forward of the axle..
