H Head Question

On each end of the H head there are 2 90 degree brass fittings. One has a larger hole (normal fitting) than the other. Which one goes to the governer and which to the breather? I goofed as I didn't notice the difference and didn't marke them. Thanks---WOK

The fitting on the back of the head should be straight. It goes through a hole punched in the steering joint support. What I can't tell you is which 90° fitting you should use on the front. Were it mine, I'd opt for the one with the larger ID.

nothing hard at all ...just look at your lines and they will tell you which goes where.

The one with the smaller hole goes to the front where it is connected to the governor vent.

The complete line assembly is for crankcase ventilation. By putting the small hole in front it adds some restriction to the flow so that some air will come from the governor and the rest through the hole in the tube that goes across the top of the head. If you were to install them with the orifice fitting in the back, all the flow would be restricted instead of dividing the flow between the head and the governor.
