Does anyone know who made this widefront conversion? Looks too good to be homemade. I have found two identical ones, one in indiana and the other in iowa. The front piece that bolts to the bottom of the bolster looks like it should be straight back and than over to the driver wheel. Thanks for any info

Being as it is fixed (non center pivoting) It would twist the frame something awful on hills or normal bumps. No idea on origin. Jim
 
I dont know what brand but had one found in Michigan a couple of years ago and one in California as well. This is a factory built item just not IH. Is it for sale?
 
This axle does have alot of pivot room. Sorry should of posted better pics. This one is not for sale but i know of another out in iowa if interested.

The first picture has an unfortunate alignment of front brackets (to the sides of the bolster) that look solid to the axle, and the pivot is hidden behind the lower steering casting. Ah Well it is very interesting. If there was a better way of eliminating the original lower spindles, it might have been more attractive (in many ways). Jim
 

I've looked at the picture every which way but inside out and I cannot see where it can pivot.

It sure does not look like any Speeco wide front axle I have ever seen.

I don't think it is home made, but I do think it may have been adapted from another farm implement.
 
If you look right behind the bolster there is a piece that comes down that has like a ball on the end that goes into the block on top of the axle that makes it pivot. The brackets that are attached to the front of the bolster are just there for no reason, they do not attach to the axle. The axle has a ton of swing. It would make it alot nicer if the middle of the bolster was removed. I have this one and saw another and thought that some company had to make them.Thanks for all the replies
