Super M carburetor

I'm looking for a used replacement carb for my '53 Super M. Is the Super M carb the same as one for a basic M gasoline, or does the Super's carb have a larger CFM capacity?

I would appreciate your answers.

They have a few things a little different, but there's M tractors with super carburetors and supers with M carburetors running around. You would have to relocate the choke rod because they have the choke lever on different sides.

Main difference other than the choke rod is that the main jet on the M carb is adjusted by turning the screw in until it stumbles, out until smooth. There are probably other internal differences, I have not checked, someone else can answer that. On SH and SM-up carbs the main jet adjustment is 5 turns out for max power, turned in about 0.5-2 turns for lighter loads. The carb on my 460 and Super H work best at 5 turns out.

The main difference is the choke lever is on opposite sides. Might be possible the main metering stem has larger holes, and it's also possible the venturi is larger, but everything else is the same, including the adjustments. If you don't mind tweaking the choke control rod on your super M, you can use a carburetor from a straight M and the tractor will never know the difference.

I also have to ask, why do you need a replacement carb? If yours just needs a good cleaning and complete rebuild, send me an email.
