Extra Seat for Farmall H

OK...fenders. That's somthing I hadn't considered. Most of the WORKING Farmall H's around here didn't have fenders. That would mean that you'd have to mount the second seat on the platform somehow...and with ONE seat already there, it's kinda hard to squeeze another one in, safely.

IF YOU HAVE A SOLID DRAW BAR [IF I'M CALLING IT RIGHT] COULD RIG UP A [COUPLE OF] SEAT ON A SOILD PIECE OF LIGHT C-CHANNEL IRON,WITH THE RIGHT BENDS, LIKE THE SEATS ON SOME MODELS, JUST LONGER TO SIT UP HIGHER SO THEY COULD SEE OVER MOTOR. ALSO PUT LOWER CROSS BARS FOR FEET SUPPORT. FASTENING THEM AT [EACH] END OF THE DRAW BAR, OR ONE SIDE, FOR ONE SEATER. WISH I HAD PICTURES TO SHOW U WHAT I'M THINKING ABOUT.

Moving the fenders out on extenders (flat plate 1/2" steel) will help. Then I would use a seat off of an old delivery truck with a pedestal mount. An attachment to the new fender mount with a socket to match, or 4 1/2" bolts in a 4" pattern would make it work. Jim

I would find out if is ok to have riders first.Because of safety and insurance reasons we are no longer able to have any riders on the tractor. Driver only. But trailer's are aloud. Something to think about.
