Super M Lift all Problems

I have a 52 Super M that is new to me. Was in the family and run hard in the 60's & 70's. It is a wide front end and I found a loader for it on Ebay. Put the loader on, found the Hyd/Tran fluid to be low, now is where the problems and questions start. It has a lift all bell pump.
1. filled up the fluid, now it leaks plate size spot over night. Where do I start to fix the leak? drips on casting splits and bolts.
2. It does not life up very far or very fast. Is the 6qts in the system enough for the big lift cylinders? This tip loader came of a standard M so it should have worked sometime.
3. I still have the little catch on the operating rod. It does not hold up when the rod catch is at the bracket. It should go up when pulled all the way toward me, hold at the middle and then go down if you lift it up and push the rod all the way forward, correct.
4. What are the best ways and aprox cost for going to live Hyd?
Really appriciate and tips or thoughts!

In order:
The leak is from the pump seal (most likely) if it is coming out of the bottom of the castings. It can be replaced by removing the pump (not hard, but tippy (see archives on removing Liftall pumps)
then removing drive coupling (lefty loosy using a brass or aluminum flat plate sticking in the pump gears to hold them from turning. (also in archives)
Far could be from leakdown and filling of the top of the cylinders See below) fast is normal it has a small low pressure pump in the Liftall.
The cylinders (one or both) may be leaking past the piston seals, letting it down, and filling the cylinder above the piston. It takes a while for it to be forced out the top, but it will do it. The valves are usually quite reliable in the pump, so leak down there is not common.
A added reservoir may be needed when all else is sorted out to allow enough fluid to lift all the way. If the lift cylinders are two way, the tops can be plumbed into the bottom of the liftall pump through the drain plug with a 4way cross and a close nipple to allow draining and two hoses to connect.
Correct on the control rod.
There are many posts in the archives on putting live pumps on Ms. Yours will have both the correct timing cover and stronger gear for the live pump from a Stage II super M or SMTA, or 400 or 450 to be used between the distributor and front cover. Jim

Thanks jim that helps alot, I see on YT the live pump for $777 that would be the start of the conversion, (or find a used one) then add some kind of tank and hoses? Also, I did not find the replacement seal in the parts list on YT. Is there a part number or discription for that seal that is leaking on the hyd system? Last, what would be the start for adding to the Lift all tank?

The seal is common and can be matched at a bearing store (even NAPA) If you want to ad a reservoir to the liftall (and use it as a reservoir only) you can gut it and leave only the shell, blanking off the components that are removed. Then the top fill pipe can be the fill and the suction can be the drain plug with a T in it. The return can be plummed into one of the elbow ports.
If you want to add to the volume of the Liftall, and use it as the pump, a hydraulic tank can be found at Northern Freight or similar stores. Keeping it so that it is level with, or higher than the liftall and using its fill port, capping the liftall, or connecting the two at the fill port of the liftall will work.
If the lift cylinders have two way capacity, the top ports (where the rod comes out) can be ported to the bottom of the cylinders to use tham as a reservoir. Venting is not needed if the cylinder tops are used. Venting is needed on the tank (highest point) if the reservoir is drawn down to fill the cylinders. Jim
