M steering gear

Do all M, SM and MD"s use a full round steering gear? Seems like I heard at one time you could just rotate the steering gear on the large frame Farmalls so you would be wearing new teeth and help take some of the wobble out of the steering. I have a couple that I was hoping to work on tomorrow and they need some help with the steering. Thanks!

I think theM was a sector.Why dont you pull the hood,grill,steeringbox cover and find out!post the result so we will all be informed.Thanks

My M has a sector gear in it.

My 1944 M has a half gear for steering. Looks original.

Nope, after all the past years and part replacements you have to look to see whats in there. Or at least remove the stop bolt and see if it will turn 360.

my 1952 super m has only a half and it does wobble, any ideas where to buy a cheap one?
