C-12-D Harrow-plow - IT works !!

I got it working thanks to all the help from the folks here.
First and foremost, I had the mounting arms reversed left and right and this caused them to be upside down. In actual distance it is probably no more than an inch. BUT it made a big difference in way the hitch assy rode as well as the performance of the plow. This allowed the extra clearance needed for the hitch assemble not drag.
The second thing was get the right wheel, which is also the correct wheel in the furrow. (the book says set the right wheel 24" from center line, but it needs to be closer 23 or 23 1/2 would probably work)
I still had a problem with the lift arm lifting high enough to give the plow clearance when turning or transporting. Once I had the mount arms correct the solution to the lift arm was obvious. I pulled it apart and cut about 1.5" inches of new threads on the shaft. I needed about 2" (and there was room)but my cheap made in china die gave out, and it was wearing me out..
I hit it with the grease gun and proceed to plow up my garden. It did great and I am happy with the performance and the results.
I'll put it in the shed for now and am planing on restoring it later this year. There are a few bearings and bushings that need work or replacing. Not much to it and it shouldn't take long.

here is a link to a short video. (not the best quality as I had to shrink it so much to get it uploaded) If you listen and look at the beginning of the row you can hear the engine bog down and I was struggling with differential braking to keep fer going straight.. (was running a little to deep).

You need to set the left wheel in closer to make it run straight.

Very Cool. I love to see that old equipment brought back to life.

The instructions say exactly the opposite. They say move the left wheel out for more stability..

She did good anyway where they were so I didn't play with it, got the field plowed.... and it wasn't really a problem unless I tried running the plow to deep. Probably should install the stops.
