Farmall H tire suggestions.

Looking for suggestions for new rear tires for a 1941 McCormick-Deering H. I think growing up I"ve seen Firestone and Goodyear tires on them, probably more Firestone. I understand that back then they might have had 45 degree tread bars and now are going to be closer to 25 degrees. Not looking for original equipment, just hoping to find a good quality American brand that belongs on an H.

As I understand it, Titan Tires are the only ones made in America this day and age. However, they wouldn't have been found on tractors back then. I think that far back it would have been mostly Firestone's and Goodyear's. I have seen Co-op tires, but not sure when they came out though.

Titan took over Goodyear tractor tire production, Titan or Goodyear are the only choices for us made.

titans would be good hi power lug will give u a decent looking tire with pritty good traction there somewhere around 23 degree bar which gives u the better traction than 45 close to the field and road firestones just cheaper 12.4 prolly a good size

Good Lord, It's not a 200K Corvette that needs correct tires. It's a restored H, maybe $3500. Put on anything that is matched and has good tread.

Firestone Field and Road, 12.4-38 6 ply, USA made, or Titan in the same size. I buy Firestone because of the local dealer.

I just put new Firestone'Traction Field and Road'(13,6x38) on the Super M.At $565ea.,they are a good lookin'tire.

When I restored my Super C I purchased some new and fresh Firestone Field and Road 11.2 X 36 tires which were labeled as Made in USA. I ordered them through a dealer about a year and a half ago, Hal.

(quoted from post at 20:47:49 03/17/11) Living in iowa i can tell you, titan and firestone ag tires are both made right here in good old DesMoines.

Not all of the Titans are made there, they make them in Freeport, IL too.

I would put Firestones on bc I like them. Period.

If price is a concern, I would recomend Alliance. I put a pair of 12.4x38 6 plys on my 48 H and I love em. Don't know where they are made, but they were like $350 each and they are good tires
