Mounted Plow for Farmall H?

Did they ever make such a thing? My uncle has what he thinks is a mounted two bottom plow for a Farmall H. He has a special mount that attaches to the drawbar to hook the plow on, but we can"t figure out how the thing was rasied and lowered. If they did make one, does anyone have a picture of one hooked up correctly? I"m thinking of putting it on my H for an upcomming show. Thanks.

I know there was a mounted one bottom for that A and the B, and there was mounted 2 way for the same tractors, but I don't think I've ever seen a mounted 2 bottom for an H. The fact that I've never seen one doesn't mean it didn't exist though. If Hugh McKay was still around he could tell us for sure.

Never heard of one for an H. They made mounted for a Cub, A, B, C, and the Super A and C. There were also single and double point Fast Hitch plows, but there is no mistaking them.

jaz, I believe it was a H/M 199 two way plow.
It was frame mounted not on drawbar.
Part mounted under the tranny to hold plow and the liftall cylinders would lift the plow up. There were trip levers to let the plows down.
Might be some picture over on the left of page.

This is the only thing I could come up with

It looks very similar to the one in the top photo. I think he is missing the control levers you can see sticking out of the top of the plow. His has no rear wheel, but it does have a depth control wheel on the side. Is there any way to get a blow up of that top picture?

I recall seeing something like that in the 150 Years of International Harvester book by CH Wendel... a mounted moldboard plow for an H of some sort.

try saving it to your computer and then see if you can zoom or something.
The top plow is the disc plow though.

I don't know the model number but I have seen quite a few in my area. They are similar to the one bottom two way plow that I use on my Super C and it uses hydraulic power to raise and a trip mechanism to lower.

Our next over neighber had semi mount on H back in the day. I have tale about that blow that you may not believe. They had been plowing all week in sandy type ground and disks were polished like mirrow, they parked tractor and plow on a sunny Sunday just right for sun to reflect off disk onto tire and burned hole in tire.

There was a mounted two disc plow for H that mounted underneath the tractor. I have one. It has alarm that attaches to the front pedestal to steer the plow and you also have to dish the right rear wheel in to run in the furrow.
