Paint Colors for 1930 Farmall Regular

I am restoring a 1930 Farmall Regular and need to know the manufacturer's paint numbers for the gray and red.

The proper grey is one of the great debates of the pre 37 Farmalls. There are many shades of grey people will claim as the original and one guy who sells a formula code of an "original" can of paint. This original paint is now thought to be from the late 40's long after the original grey was out of production. Basically you have to look at some and decide if you like the dark blue/grey or the light grey. The wheels were dipped in Harvester Red #50 varnish. a product no longer available. Any IH red like 2150 on the wheels sets off the grey nicely.

On my 1931 Reg. I used for the gray and it's a quite a dark gray, Dupont 27625 and for the red Dupont 7410. You can get most any auto parts to cross reference these numbers to their paint.

I have the Dupont paint code 27625 listed too and it's also what they recommend for the 22-36 tractor. Hal
