560 hydraulics problems

I have a Farmall 560 with a front end loader and a three point. When the loader and three point hydraulics are in use the motor runs fine. But when the hydraulics are not in use the motor lugs down causing engine power issues. What causes this problem and how can it be fixed.

Thank you,
Kyle Curtiss

some sort of restriction after the hydrulic valves, it is an open center system so it should flow very freely when not in use.

good luck:)

First check the single to double action settings on the aux valves. One may be turned too far bending or breaking the roll pin and that will cause system to stay on demand. The 560 is not really a true open center valve system as there is no flow through aux valves when in neutral, the flow from the pump is diverted to reservoir through the regulator valve ( unloading valve). This valve is controlled by a screened orfice under the cover of reg valve. If plugged or peened undersized it will cause your system to stay on demand , fluid going over relief valve portion of regulator valve assembly. Clean or replace orfice if plugged. More information on other posts previous to this one.
