farmall 140 hyd system(touch control)

When I change position of control levers the engine seems to be under load alittle and it doesn't take long for the hyd. pump to get quite hot.I'm thinking there is an obstruction or maybe bad relief valve .Anyone have any ideas.Thank you all in advance for taking time to help me. Mel Thomas

On the left side of the hydrolic pump there is a cover over a strainer . Drain hyd. oil and remove this cover , check the strainer . Mine did that and strainer was stopped up and torn. Part is available from Case HI , about 85.00 , plus you will need a gasket.
Make sure rocker arms are well greased!
