1466 starting problem

Having trouble starting my 1466. If I leave it sit for three days or more it will not start without starting fluid. About four weeks ago I tryed useing the primer pump on the injector pump to see if that would make a difference. Started right up. When working the plunger up and down lots of fuel came up around it. Am I loosing prime around the primer pump? Don't that plunger turn out? Maybe a O ring or seal gone bad around it? Also noticed when the tractor is running, dripping fuel from a return line from a injector. Could that have anything with loosing prime after it sits for a few days?

The plunger on the primer pump definitely needs to be resealed, that return line leaking will cause it to loose prime, any place air can get in will cause problem you described.

Primer pump screws out, and the button screws off plunger to get apart. Also has a copper gasket inside pump housing that can be a pain sometimes as it may not center well upon reassembly.
