Front Hitch on an M

Would anyone that's put a front hitch on an M for pushing wagons, etc., be able to email or post some photos? I would like to put one on my M (narrow front) and am just looking for ideas on what has already been done and worked.

Are you in SE WI? My neighbors just bought an M with a front hitch on it and I am sure it is for sale.
Theirs is just a couple pieces of channel bolted to the frame rails with a drop hitch out front. From what the veggie farmer told us he had to drop the hitch or you couldn't get any traction.

A short drawbar extension for a Farmall B (or comparable piece of 1/2" steel plate) will bolt directly to the bolt holes on the top front of the lower section of the steering bolster, right above the front wheels. Use a torch to heat a line across the center of it, and an adjustable wrench to bend the front half of it down a few degrees. My Dad put one on our narrow-front Super M in about 1970, and it's pushed countless wagons into the barn over the years! Mounted that high, there is no risk of damaging the steering. I have on on my M, also, but the SM is my choice for such tasks, as it has power steering.
Sure makes positioning wagons a lot easier!

Kerwin, I think the hole spacing for a front hitch plate that attaches to the front lower bolster above the front tires has the same spacing as those used on the drawbar for a M. I recall the spacing for both to be 4 3/4" center to center for the holes. Those rear hitch plates used to obtain the correct PTO spacing between the tractor and implements are generally an easy find, Hal.

Doesn't show up well, but I think you can get the idea.
