Thickness of Farmall A rims

Hello. What is the thickness difference between the Cast hub and the Pressed Steel hub. Think I got a Cast hub on the Left Rear of my 1945 A. Thanks

I don't know the exact measurements, but it is easy to see the difference between the cast wheel and the pressed steel.

The pressed steel is about 3/16th inch thick, maybe a little more, and a cast wheel is about an inch and a quarter.

Your cast wheel should be on the right side to balance the tractor.

The cast wheel goes on the RIGHT side of the tractor to counter-balance the offset engine to prevent tipping. The difference in thickness is whatever you measure.

Should go  You never know, you see it all when you get these things off the farm.

Well think of them this way. How thick is a quarter?? Then how thick is your thumb?? So now you know the one that is about as thick as a quarter is pressed steel and the one that is about as thick as your thumb is the case iron one. Oh by the way if you drop the cast one on your toes you will go to the hospital for broken toe also
