I have a IH farmall model aa ser#290537 that i am intrested in restoring or selling the other number i found was the rpm,s 1540 I would thank everyone for any input

Well you are quite open ended in your post. Looking left on the screen will provide a serial number sequence to determine the year. If it runs and has good tires with non rusted out rims, it might bring 1200. It is not too handy for modern work, as it has no independent PTO. It also has no hydraulics, which limits its ability to lift implements and tools. A exhaust pressure lift system was used, but they are rare and a bit different to use. Used ones will likely need restoration to make them work ready.
They are a handy tractor if equipped with cultivators or planters, (mechanical hand lift)
Or for pulling light wagons around the farm.
THey mow well, but need a over running clutch in the PTO if a rotary mower is used. They are powerful for their size, and do not lack for muscle. If they are really well maintained ot professionally restored, and come with attachments (plow, disk, planter, cultivators, or a mower, they are worth more, Maybe as much as 2500 to someone. Jim

thanks for your input about my tractor however i could not find the serial number sequence you refered me to determine the year i am not to familer with this forum section so i might have missed something thank you in advance for any more help

That serial number (anything over 250,000) makes it a Super A (1950).
Where are you located, Paul. You might want to snap a picture of it (a good one), then post it in the "Photo Ads" section on the left of the screen under "Marketplace". There it will get many viewers, and have a really good chance of selling.
