Farmall Cub vs. Super A cultivators

I placed a bid for these cultivators on ebay.

After searching through the forums the last few days I believe that this will not work. The ebay seller listed them as fitting a Super A, but now I have serious doubts.

Someone please tell me if I am right or wrong?

So they are [u:adcd8a877d]absolutely[/u:adcd8a877d] not [u:adcd8a877d]interchangeable[/u:adcd8a877d] with a Super A if they came of a Cub?

The standards/feet/shanks and the clamps are interchangeable. BUT, the universal mounting frame part is not. On the Cub the left side (sitting on tractor) goes all the way through the square slot on the front bolster and sticks out of the right side. Then, the right part of the mounting frame slides over the left side that is sticking out. On the Super A, it doesn"t mount that was, as both sides slide through the square opening in the front bolster. The mounting frame is actually smaller too.

They are Cub cultivators and without modification will not work on a Super A. Even with modification the linkages are shorter and therefore closer to the front tire and it is difficult to get the sweeps into the ground any appreciable amount.

Been there, done that...

If you want a complete set of Super A deluxe cultivators I have a set for sale in South Central Michigan... $350 takes the whole ball of wax...

Front linkages, tool bars, 3 sweeps / side, spring rods + rear gang, lift rods and 1 sweep per side.

They aren't all painted like the ones you bid on but I've used them for the past 3 years without issue.

I'm definitely interested. No worries about the paint, I have plenty of love I can give them later on. I will show you some pics of Super A so you can see what I'm working with.

It appears in your photographs that you have cultivator linkage and a deluxe toolbar at least on the right side of the tractor with the side dresser...

I have half a linkage. I need a lift arm for the left side rockarm. I have the linkage, but not the bars. As far as the side dresser I can't tell what works and what doesn't. There is also some miscellaneous cogs under the left side rear tire.

Rootsy I tried to send you a private message, but the sight doesn't have private messages yet.
