686 coolant in the oil

My 686 with only 3200 hours on it has prestone in the oil. Was there a problem with the 310 german diesel like head gasket or cavitation or is there other comon problems with that engine. I have removed the oil pan and it drips even with no preasure on the rad but i cant tell where its coming from. It drips mostly in the centre of the engine.Where would you think is the most likley place to start to look. Thanks Erik..

Look carefully around the outside of the bottom of the sleeves. It is very likely that you have an O-ring leaking. With O-rings it is not only how many hours on on the engine but also how many years since they have been changed.

Most likely you will have to remove the cylinder head and then if you are able, you can remove the sleeve and piston as an assembly. If the block and sleeve look good you could make a satisfactory repair with just replacing the O-rings.
