Sears air compressor

I know this isn t a tractor question but I do know you guys will know the answer. I m looking to maybe buy a 17 gallon upright Sears compressor it looks like new but I don t if they are any good. Thanks as always.

Probably as good quality as other cheap air compressors. Won't have many CFM, depends on what you use it for.

I have a 33 gallon 150 cfm craftsman tank. It works great but it is pretty loud. Overall a well made tank

150 cfm at how much pressure. Do you have any idea what 150 cfm means.

You mean 150 psi. 150 CFM is a BIG air compressor. I have a 7.5 hp 80 gallon compressor with 150 psi, but it only puts out 24 CFM.

O ha yea sorry had cfm on my mind. 150 psi is correct. and yes I know what cfm means

Don't expect it to last too long with heavy use. Get a cast iron compressor for longevity.

I have a Sears oil-less 6 hp 60 gallon tank and I hate it ! Too loud ! I have blown one head gasket on it and had two connecting rods break, and it has only seen light use. I now use an old one I bought at auction and just use the Sears tank for extra volume. The old one is cast iron , heavy and probably 60 plus years old, but way better built. Just my two cents worth.
