400 diesel primary pump coupling

I pulled my primary pump out this week to replace the seal. What I found is the shaft on the pump and the coupling are both worn and sloppy. Also the roll pin that holds the coupling to the primary pump shaft was missing. Does anyone know if you can get a replacement coupling? I thought about installing a new roll pin and tack welding the coupling to the shaft as a last resort. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

i had the same problem with a B pump one time. i took the coupler assembley to a machine shop and they carefully built up the square male end of the coupling. the female side didn't look quite as worn so they left it alone. seems to fit better.
now i can't say if it's gonna work forever as i haven't even got this pump back together and running yet. good luck, Brad

Thanks for the feedback. That sounds like it would probably be my best option. I just bought this tractor and I can't wait to get it fixed. Thanks
