Where is the best place to buy a complete engine kit for a Farmall A from. Also, should I go with high compression pistons or just the regular flat top pistons? Thaks for the info. Keith

This site actually sells sleeves and piston sets. What do you want to use the tractor for? Show? Use regular pistons. Work? Use over-size, high compression.

check head gaskets. i just learned there is a differance, becuz if it has a water pump, or not. good luck.

This site is good, and it is good to support them. Best place I have found for price (and decent quality too) is a place online called SE (south east) tractor parts. Very competitive pricing and fast shipping.

This site is ok. I bought a Tisco kit, but the rings were from some unknown Chinese or Tiawan company. Very hard to get the oil rings on without breaking them with my cheap expander, I couldn't find a good one locally. These were single piece rings. The 3 piece oil rings I had them send me are much easier to install.
