Help with lower PTO shaft on IH 464

I am attempting to replace the PTO clutch on a 464. I removed the roll pin that holds the clutch assembly to the lower shaft and removed the bearing cap off of the rear of the tractor. The shaft supposedly slides backward so the PTO clutch can come out the side access. The shaft however won't budge. I even put a puller on it and still nothing. It appears the clutch is free on the shaft so I am guessing the rear bearing is stuck or ???. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Finally got it off after I removed the snap ring at the rear and used the grove for a place to put a pry bar and ease it off.
