farmall md head job/ valve grind

hi,getting ready to tear my md apart it needs new gaskets and seals and i think it may need a valve job. with that being said does any have the specs and tolerances for a valve grind and torque specs for head bolts ect. i need everything related to redoing the head ect any help would be appreciateed thanks. jim

are you doing the actual head job or your machinist, he will know all the spec's.
head torque is 110-135 ft. lbs.

Carter & Gruenwald has about the best price on the valve grind gasket set. Check with NAPA. I thought I checked for the MD and they couldn't get the set, but when I was there for the WD-9 they could get that one!?!

The compression of that engine can be radically reduced if the valve job sinks the valve into the head (Pockets), or the valve is thin. Be careful of this fact, or it will be very hard to cross over to diesel. and will not be happy. Jim

There are a few machine shops in my area that do tractor parts ect, but none have ever done work on md heads and don't have any of the specs. I just dnt want to take a chace and ruin a good head.

Drive it/ship it to Pakes Engine and Machine in Janesville, WI. That is who does my heads and explained how valve recession works.
