I just bought a 1948 OS-4 from a local man who bought it new in 1950. The tractor is in increadible shape & I was told it never spent a night left outside. Right now, the tractor has a period-correct Massey-Harris loader on it (off a 1942 Massey 202) & it came w/ a 7' snow-blade for the winter plowing. We don't need this tractor to work, so, is there value in me un-mounting the loader & selling it, or does that de-value the tractor? We are in southern Maine & I have never seen another one of these tractors, but, there were a lot of orchards here in the 30's-50's from what I have been told.

the serious collector will not want the loader. it devalues the tractor with it. sell it separate.

Selling it separate will be best. The loader on an Orchard tractor is swimming with a 5 gallon pail. The tractor will have a nice presentation W/O the loader. Jim
