Matching carb to manifold question

Long story short B block and head were cracked beyond use. Now have a C123 possibly a super c block and a head from a 340. Old maifold shot. I am going to get a new one but am not sure if the B carb is OK with a C123. The B manifolds go up to a 200/240 model and the next one goes up to 400 or so. 340 head has 1-1/8" ports. Old head has 7/8" ports. Carb bolt patterns are the same. Is it even worth trying to buy a bigger carb for the larger air flow of the 340 head? Tractor will be a parade job when done. I just want it to start and run good. No pulling. I have a zenith carb.

It will be fine. You should be on the lookout for a correct to head carb but the offset will be no issue with your intended use. Be sure to center things to prevent the chance of a gasket moving and allowing a vacuum leak. Jim

The 10 extra cuin wont make any difference ive changed several over to the 123 engine use them all the time and have no problems just put the carb on and go. You arent going to plow with it anyhow. The carb for the original B will work just fine. Youre not building a racing engine.

340 has a C135. However the late block for a C113/C123 takes 133 cu in sleeves, so I don't think you need to change anything.
