1066 Batteries

I figure my question will cause a fuss which I don't want but here goes. I am getting tired of dealing with the 2 6 volt batteries and want to change to 1 12V. The 6V are 880 CCA and the 12V is 950CCA. Opinions on startability in Oklahoma winter.

I did that to an 806. It was a battery for a 9700 Ford. I never had any problems with it starting. Engines up here need to be plugged in during the winter. I don"t remember what the cca of that battery is. 4DLT batt if my memory serves me right

Your stock 6 volts are in series to generate 12 volts. Get two 12 volt batteries that fit the compartments and wire them in parallel. That will spin her over good.

We have a 966 and a 1466, qwe converted the battery boxes on the right side of the tractors to hold one 12 volt, high amp battery and it spins the motors with ease and the cables are very short and does not take much room.
I took a hammer and flattened out the box on the outside, then welded some angle iron to lenthen the width, then connected all points with flat iron to close in the bottom of the box for stability, then added some hooks to tie battery down on each side. works good.
