400 with loader

I have a chance to pick up a Westendorf WL 30 (CHEAP) that a guy had on a 560. It has a 7 foot bucket on it. Will the hydraulics on my 400 handle this loader? It will be used mostly for snow moving and light landscape work. I'm interested in it so I don't have to drive my other tractor back and forth from the farm to my house or haul the skidloader around.

You will be the decider!! If you are willing to keep your load reasonable it will be fine. Maxing a 7 foot bucket with sand or earth will ruin the tractor. Jim

I agree with Jim, take it easy or you will break something. The hydraulics should work, may not be super fast or pick up something super heavy.

It will mainly see light duty- we have bigger equipment for serious work. I am mainly wondering how the hydraulics will handle it.

If the lift cylinders are designed for 2000+ PSI modern closed circuit Hydraulic systems. with small cylinder diameters, it will be very weak. If the system is for 1200 to 1500 psi it will be fine. Jim
