Boost hydraulic output

Is there any way to boost the hydraulic output on a 1066? I put in the largest pump I can find, 12GPM I believe but my loader is still too slow.

Is there any other pump that would fit and give me more output. I've even thought of putting a PTO driven pump but that might be alot of effort.

You put in the small pump. The large one is something like 17gpm.

Also, and not to be a smart azz, but which pump did you replace? The remotes run off the hitch pump, not the front one.

Yeah, those 12gpm pumps are kinda "painful". :>)

Yep, you put in the small pump. If 12GPM was the "biggest" pump you could find, you either weren't looking very hard or you have a pitiful CaseIH dealer.

Heck, I didn't even know you could get the 12GPM pump anymore. All the CaseIH dealers around here want to sell are the 17GPM pumps. That's all they stock.

They put 3 different GPM (gallons per minute), std & most easy to find is 12, next was 15, & the highest was a 17, you can find them in any variation from 460 thru 1586, you might try just the high pressure cartridge that screws in the side of the seat casting, they made 4 variations in high pressure limit, 1750 psi, 2000 which is probably what your 1066 had originally, 2250 & the highest was 2500, they are all marked with at least the part number.
