Just rebuilt the carb on the 560 I picked up. Bowl is full of gas but wont start.jets were cleaned and seems to work good.Any ideas? Also what is the screw at the bottom of the bowl? not the drain plug. The other one.

I dunno,

I would think that the first order of business would be to give 'er a good compression test to see if it is even able to run.

We have had the tractor running before by feeding it gas. I probably bone headed something in the rebuild.

Well, I tried to reply, but apparently YT mis-interpreted some of my words as spam.

I'll try again. Is that screw at the bottom by any chance forward pointing? Is it the load adjustment? Is it at least 3 turns open? If it is turned all the way in, it shuts the fuel completely off.

Is the manifold gasket there? As was stated, check for suction,. A leaky gasket = no suction. Is cranking speed to spec.? Slow crank = no suction/low compression. Is the valve lash correct? A partially open valve will do the aforementioned issues as well.

Best of luck!

Two more things. Make sure the gas tank cap is venting, ang make sure you have GOOD fuel flow from the sediment bowl. Either or both will cause a fuel starvation situation.

If the electrical solenoid fuel shutoff is not functioning, or has a screw replacing it, that may explain the whole problem. That second screw needs to be adjusted, not screwed in tight! Jim

The other screw is the main fuel jet. It should be 6 turns off the seat - according to the manual.
