Tach stopped working. Sent to be repaired. After repairing reinstalled and it worked fine for about 15 min. I called the co. that repaired was told they only replaced some defective bulbs other than that it worked fine. Have power to the unit. Any suggestions?

If the repair was as cheap as a couple bulbs, then they were reasonable. If it was a pricey deal, they need to fix it, or estimate what it will cost to do so. I would not blame them, thousands of devices begin working immediately upon being threatened with a competent repair technician. Jim

ANother place to look is the signal wiring on the tractor. If the tach is in fact working, but when the wires were wiggled when putting it back in they made temporary contact, but opened up again then it is your issue. Check the wiring first! Jim

Hi Don,
Check for proper grounding. Bad grounds can cause all sorts of wacky problems. Sometimes the ground is supplied by connecting a wire to the tractor frame or sheet metal and the connection will eventually become corroded causing a poor connection.

Good luck

Last time mine quit I had to replace the key switch.

But you say you have power to yours.

First time it quit, it was the speed sensor.

Remember, you have two power sources on those data centers. One is through key, other is through that inline fuse down by the other fuses and even a dirty connection there can give you all kinds of problems plus the ground connection at the cab mount. Don't remember which pin is second power but it is approx number 12.
