HELP Farmall Super A Broken Main Cap

I finally got around to tearing into the Super A I bought earlier this year. It ran good with moderate power and no smoke but it was a little low on oil pressure. Everything looked good until I started to take the main caps off the crankshaft. I found the number two cap was broken. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement? My machine shop said they can fit another cap to my block.

I also found a bent crankshaft and one bent connecting rod. Luckily I have replacements for those parts. My guess is that it was frozen up at one time and someone forced it loose.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
 
Any good used tractor parts place should have the main cap. However, you should have it line bored to make sure you have good alignment for the crank.
 
line boreing is a must. that is why the caps are numbered. without line boreing good chance the engine wont even turn over when caps are torqued.if you dont believe it then check it with plastige, and that will tell the story.
 
Tom, I have been serching the websites of several tractor parts places and have not found a place that has just the main cap for sale. Several places have the complete block for sale. I will keep looking. Hopefully someone here has a "junk" block laying around and would be willing to part out the main caps.

I will be getting the block line bored when I find a replacement cap. This is not the first C113 block I"ve seen with a broken #2 main cap.
 
the only way someone will sell a cap is if the block is toast. need to get one out of a junk block or buy the whole block.
 
Give me your adress and ill send one tomorrow for whatever the postage is. Need anything else as i have lots of parts.
