400D Headbolt Tightening Sequence

Can somebody tell me the sequence for tightening the D264 engine headbolts? The manuals I have only refer to series 6, 9, and 350/370 engines, and none of the headbolt patterns match the D264.

Work in a circle from the middle of the head out using at least three steps.

Yep, what Allan said, start in the center and work your way out in a circular pattern. First torque to 1/2 specified torque, then 3/4 and finally the full 110 ft/lbs. Torque to 110 ft/lbs again after you have run the engine up to operating temprature.

dont forget your valve adjustment after the final torque.
