186 hydro slow loader speed

Just picked up a 186 hydro at a sale and have a 2350 ih loader on it. It has 1/2 in. hoses on the loader. The loader goes up and down very very slow..hydraulic fluid is close to full according to the dip stick...is there something minor that is wrong or is my hydraulics going?? If you have any knowledge about these tractor, please let me know what ya think. Thanks, andy

If it were mine I would first find the hydraulic filter and put a new one in

Even on a hydro, I believe the auxiliary remotes are powered by their own separate pump. It could have a stock 12GPM pump on it, and if it does, the loader will be slow even though nothing is wrong.

The optional 17GPM pump is much much faster, but it's still not like a tractor made in the last 20 years. Newer tractors have 22-30+ GPM pumps.

mkirsch and alont are both correct.A "too small" pmp will make things slow.A dirty hydralic filter will slow down(or stop)hydralic flow
