52R COMBINE CANVAS

my brother has a canvas he bought for a 52r that we have. not a new one but a good used one that could be made work. you wouldnt want to buy another 52r for parts. it was working when we bought it 3 years ago and has been under a shed all its life. it has been in yard for 2 years now but it did work when we got it but canvas was rotted.

Where are you located and do you have the old canvas for a pattern? There is a canvas/tarp shop in Fairbury, Il. that could make on if he had a pattern. Armand

I have had new canvases made for my binder at a Amish harness shop in Pa. They are made very well and the guy is very reasonable on his price. If you want to have a new one made i can post his address, he has no phone.

I DO NOT HAVE A PATTERN. THE CANVAS WAS GONE WHEN I PURCHASED THE UNIT AND THE GENTLEMAN DID NOT KNOW WHAT WENT WITH IT. I SEARCHED THE BARN OVER BUT NO CANVAS.

I WOULD NOT BE A PROSPECT AT THIS TIME FOR ANOTHER MACHINE. THE ONE I BOUGHT IS COMPLETE EXCEPT FOR THE CANVAS. WOULD YOUR BROTHER BE WILLING TO SELL THE CANVAS AND WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED.
THANKS FOR THE HELP.
JOE

we are in sc. you could get the combine for 350 and it has the original slats on the header. alot of good parts for a cheap price.

If you need to have one made, email me and I can measure mine (it"s on the combine) for you. Having one made may be your best bet. Also beware of canvases that have been in storage...they will draw up. I ended up having an uphoulstry shop make about a 6" extension to get mine (it was NOS) to work.

There are probably a few NOS canvases floating around out there....
