Looking for info on a front plow I have that came with a Farmall 400 I used to own. Moldboard, skidshoes and sector are nearly identical to the Dearborn plows and later Ford model 701's that were built by Arps Mfg and used on thousands of Ford tractors . While very, very similar to the Dearborn plows, this one is 7' instead of the 6' common on Fords. Mounting frame very much factory made and specific to Farmall frame rails. Can have photos tomorrow, but am curoius if anyone has thoughts tonight.

Thoughts??? What kind of thoughts??? 7ft. wide better than 6ft.!! 8 or 9ft. would be much better!!! When it comes to pushing snow wider is always better!! Where are you located? Armand

I am looking for a model number or specific info about this particular plow. I am in NY and I understand how to move snow, having 45 or so years experience. I guess I should have been more specific.

Rick...I don't have a clue about the answer to your question, BUT I did understand what you were asking in your initial posting. Seems that people sometimes are rather strangely entertained with themselves.

RickB, I would say you're the world's foremost authority on that plow. In other words, what little you know about the plow is pretty much all that is known about the plow.

ARPS made accessories for Farmalls, so it's not a stretch to conclude that your blade was made by ARPS. Betcha it's pretty rare.
