560 ta

Going to look at a 560 Saturday.They say the ta is out.Just wanting to know if it will hurt to run it on the high side or how big a job it is to put in a new ta and cost.

No You won't hurt ther tractor running it with the TA out.
A new TA is in the grand range and if you are paying someone to put a new one in, expect another grand for gaskets and labour. Kent

A complete TA unit from A&I is priced at $521.00 with a $150.00 core charge. Currently IN stock.

Thanks guys we are just gonna use to chore with and dont really need the ta anyway.

Check the TA and clutch pedal adjustments when you get it home; it may be way out of adustment. I had a 460 come thu that the owner said the TA was shot; I adjusted the clutch and TA linkages, and it is still pulling a plow with the TA in, to this day. I have had it go the other way too, though. You can do the adjustments, but sometimes they (the TA) are shot.

Might get lucky & just the T/A clutch needs replacing.......

No problems. My SMTA has been in high only for 45 years give or take a little.
