Farmall 560 Fule tank support installation

About the put a fuel tank support on a 560 Im restoring (other was rotted away at ba ttery area). What is the easiest way to do that at the steering wheel area as the linkage and steering shaft has to go through that hole. Thanks

Remove the middle section of the steering shaft completely and then pull the top section with wheel back up out of the way.

Do you have to take the u-joints apart or??????/

You don't have to take the u-joints apart, just off the shaft. Might not be real easy on that top one as the batterys really can rust the end of that shaft also. Have to drive the pin out on that one also.
