Does anyone know where I can get a kit to change my oil filter from the canister style to the spin on type? My IH dealer told me they used to sell them but can't get them any more. Thanks

The part number from IH/CNH is 538837R91, ask your dealer is this is available, if not (remember this tractor is close to 50 years old) also ask them to do a parts locator search, they can see if any old inventory left in the wide world at other dealers.

You might try a salvage yard, they should have some junk engines with the screw on filter set up.

Tell your dealer to take another look. 538837R91 is a good part number. Its kinda spendy tho, $77!
