Regular Pictures

Got the Regular out of the barn and up in the garage today to start tearing it down. I got a regular manifold to replace the F-20 manifold that was on it. Can someone tell me if the crankshaft pulley has a leather band around it and if it is still available. Thanks, Mark.

thanks for the pictures. not sure what you mean by leather band. all i have ever saw were metal with the flat fan belt. what do your neighbors think of your project? my son had a Jeep truck project that he rolled out of his garage for 2 days and he got a letter from the city fathers about unlicensed vehicles. nice looking tractor.

Looks great Mark, No oil filter and old style air breather. makes it pre 29" Flat machined area on block should have serial # also stamped into frame rail left side near clutch. But on the old ones I have also found in up front near radiator. Let us know what it is so you can nail down the year. oldiron29

My wife thought this was all cool until she understood that the shop was actually the garage! Not so cool now! Thanks for the pictures.

That"s not an F20 Manifold, that is an aftermarket Heisler gas manifold made just for Regulars. The only problem was you had to cut a hole in the hood to use it. My "28 had one of them on it when I got it, but it was broken up and welded back together. I put an original manifold back on it and found a good hood for more of an original Regular look. A Regular carb would not bolt up to an F20 manifold, completely different intake design.

Neat old school tires!

It has a very nice "barn find" patina to it. You almost hate to tear it down for the work. Nice to see a complete regular. The ones I've found around here have been too far gone.

(quoted from post at 19:37:17 03/03/12) How do you get by with an above ground fuel tank when you are living in what looks like the burbs?

It wouldn't meet separation distance from a structure here in Wisconsin.

Thanks for posting pics. I will show my husband. It does have neat looking treads on rears. We put ours on steel wheels - ours will remain rusty.
