I just broke the pistons loose in my 39 H,tried soaking but this motor but it was stuck fast,while doing this I broke the # 3 cylinder bore out,What kind of sealer can I use when I install new sleves,I know this can be done,and Ive read on here about people doing it

The existing bore will need to be machined out to accept a repair sleeve (thick).then that is bored out to accept the dry sleeve. Jim

James, Are you saying you poped the sleeve out or you broke the block of #3? oldiron29

I broked the block,This is what im calling the bore,The hole that the sleeve slides in.I was told by a service rep for a Case IH dealer that they had a 460 that threw a rod and it broke the bore out of it,and they cleaned the bore out good and ued a sleeve sealer and pressed a new sleeve in,sealing at the top and bottom of the bore and never had a come back.I remember some people talking about this
