I just rebuilt my 49 C and seems everything went well.I put in a Super C sleeve and piston kit.I have an original MS carb on it now and it seems like it just won't get enough gas.My plan is to buy a new Zenith for a Super c.What do you think? The MS only has one external adjustment and i tryed the float level already,it's like the one you would find on the A's most of the time. Thanks

Kind of reminds me of a C I had on the dyno one day many years ago. It would pull hard for a few seconds and then crap out. Pulling choke would keep it going for a while longer before it crapped out. I gradually increased the size of the main jet until it would hold full power at rated load. If you are talking about getting a different carb you will be out nothing by playing with the main jet. Easy does it, wire gauge drills in very small increments.

I just got done doing the same thing. Before I started I took a Carter off and put a Zenith on. The Zenith will put the Carter to shame. Just changing carbs made all the difference in the world with the old pistons still in. It seemed like the new carb was running alittle on the lean side, but I only use the tractor for pulling. Now that I have stepped head pistons in it and have done a bunch of head work, I got one of the adjustable needles off this site and put in it. I also drilled the jet out just a couple of sizes bigger. It idles better, but I have not pulled this season to see what it will do under a full load.
