international value

i have an international trojan dozer. looks like a farm tractor with a dozer blade attachment. the tags on it are, machine# 3025, model # BD-72, the emblems are all faded but i can see it is a W-something on the hood of the tractor. all sheet metal is there and in good shape(paint is basicly gone but everything seems to be there and is straight). i would apreciate any info on this tractor like were to look for more #s and a round about value. keep in mind this tractor has been setting for over 35 years, but was parked were it sits. thank you

How's about three or four pictures?

It is probably an W-9 or maybe a W-6. Maybe ex military.

If W-9, the IH serial tag will be partially hidden in the front gas tank mount casting. View it from the right side.

Thanks for the pictures.

That is definitely a W-9. That is extremely cool.
Most of the value is in the attachment. The tractor portion has scrap value unless it is running which doesn't seem likely. I'd probably give at least $2000 for the Trojan modifications and $3000 total.

Haven't figured out what the horizontal piece ahead of the blade is. Perhaps it is meant to push over trees.

There is a brace below the battery box bracket angled to the rear. Must have something to do with the drawbar or weight box. IH had several drawbars for that tractor but that is not one of them.

Probably not ex military as there should be a US inventory number somewhere.

On the whole, I'd rather have a T-9 which is IH's crawler. It would be able to push alot more dirt and get a flatter finish on the graded parcel.

Still haven't seen the IH serial number. It is almost certain to be where I indicated earlier.

One more thing. The front tub that surrounds the engine tends to be weak. Check the section of the tub above the axle for cracks.

I'll bet that Dave Eklund and his father would buy your rig in a minute. Kinda makes me think I shouldn't have offered an estimate earlier. Dave looks in here once in a while but may have missed this topic. I can send you his email. Email me. It is open.

They look similar to my I-9 wheels which are 32".
I would have thought it was an Industrial but the shadow of a "W" is on the hood. Perhaps the weathered decal is not original.

One would think that Trojan would have purchased Industrials.

I have a nice set of 32" tires that are for sale. I'm in MA.

That is a cool attatchment on there Where is the tractor located. We have a little I4 that has a dozer simmilar to that I"ll have to try to get another look at it for tags; The rear wheels look like the one on the I9's we have just reversed from the dual rear wheel set up might be interested if it is close to Mass. and price was right although still have not got the I9 running we got last summer hopefully in a few more weeks

That applies to the classic view.
