For anyone interested- went to a retirement auction in North Central Nebraska today. Two IH tractors on it.
First was a 560D. Plain-jane tractor, no 2-point. Missing some sheetmetal(side panels) and what was there was kinda rough. Tires were maybe 20 percent. But it sat all day in chilly weather and started right up after a bit of glow-plugs with just a brief puff of smoke and sounded good. Had a Swartz hd front axle and two sets of wheel weights. Sold for $1700. Still kicking myself for not buying it but had just bought a pickup for about the same amount.
Other IH was a 1466, big old horse, had a decent dozer blade on it, cab(typical well-used cab- doors were off but included), maybe 50% tires. Started good and sounded ok. Had dual hubs but the duals had sold separately earlier. It went for $4500 including dozer. Somebody got some pretty cheap horsepower there.
Don't know who got either or where they went.
