Light Problems

How can I determine as to why my lights will not work? I used a battery charger to help determine if the light fixtures are good and they are. What else do I need to do to try and determine why the lights won't work? Is there some way to dtermine if the switch is good?

You need to get a VOM (volt ohm meter) so you can measure the voltage from the battery to the switch to the lights and see where it stops. Also you can use the Ohm meter to check the switch

Chech your equipment grounds. That is a common problem. Grind a new spot through the paint and/or rust or, better yet, run a dedicated wire to the ground post on your battery.

Just what does the volt meter read when the sw is on. Have you checked to see if the lite is grounded. If you have battery voltage to the lite and the lite is grounded it will work every time.

Thanks for your help. I finally got the lights working. By checking the ohms I discovered the light were incorrectly wired. After that I worked on the ground by scraping off some of the paint.
