Farmall 1456 wiring update

So I posted on here last week about a 1456 my brother bought that needed rewired. I got new harnesses for it and got it all rewired. I also wired in the alternator that was on it which was a externally regulated one. It also had a transpo regulator on it which I wired up. When I went to start the tractor up I turned the key and the trans light comes on along with the oil light but after about 3 seconds they both start to blink. The amp light does not come on at all. I did get it to come on by jumping a wire from the outer two plugs at the original regulator connector. The instrument lights work fine and do not blink at all. Now the tractor starts fine and I was getting 15.44 volts at the batteries with it running. Then I disconnected the positive cables on the batteries and hooked an ammeter from the cable to the positive post and I was getting a 10 ma draw, so I disconnected the alternator wiring and it went away. I take it my alternator is bad but any idea why the oil and trans light blink or is that something they are supposed to do?

They are supposed to blink. The correct bulbs are blinking bulbs, like the old Christmas tree lights.

Well that makes sense then, I was thinking that the blinking seemed too consistent to be a mistake but I wasn't sure. Im normally a green guy so this whole red experience is new to me. Thanks
