Had a 6 foot Antique TEXACO sign stolen right off the side of my garage. The theif left the screws on the window sill. We were gone away ...but the neighbor gave a good descreption of the vechile that was in our yard at the time and we are asking the public for any information that may help us find the sign. THERE IS A REWARD OFFERED. Please Help us if you can, we are in Ogdensburg, New York , call us at 315 713-4115. We were lucky in one way...all our Farmall's were in a row and they didn't take gas or batteries or gas. Thanks Clif

Someone stole the aluminum lightning rod cables off the church where we attend. Even stole the electric meter off the side of the church.
They probably got less than $10 for the cable at the junk yard.
My brother has video cameras all over his place, so I guess that's coming along as a standard thing.
A guy at church had a lot of stuff stolen several years ago, & asked the Cedar county sheriff if he could shoot the thieves. The sheriff said he couldn't, but to drag them into the house before calling the office.

That old sign is probably worth several hundred, or even thousands of dollars. Batteries are only worth a few bucks each, and gas is just a lot of work. Way bigger pay day from the sign with a lot less work.

Well, it looks like you got screwed. Nice touch leaving them on the window sill. Least you won't a flat tire.

The sign has little scrap value so it will be sold as a collectable. I would create a search on eBay and see if it pops up. I suppose Craigslist would also work but it seems likely the scumbag wants to ship it far away.

Wouldn't hurt to keep a look out. Crooks aren't too bright a lot of the time.

My favorite is one I saw on TV ...a guy held up a liquor store of the cash in the drawer and then he says" and give me that bottle of whiskey up there."

Cashier says "you ain't old enough show me some ID"...... and the dumb bell shows him his drivers license. When he gets home the cops are sitting there waiting for him.

Thieves are definitely low lifes. I'd be sick about the sign. but it seems to me if anything would be recoverable, that should be.
