Help just got this tractor and I need to add trans hydaulic fluid to fill it is it the big plug in the back or some where else
 
Hi Bud, yes fill is the big plug on the top of hydraulic housing behind the seat. Fill level is the hash marks on dip stick on side of transmission by your left heel.

Thanks Jim Im new at this got a little place and bought this tractor at auction didn't have manual and I got a service manual but didn't show any of that.So I maybe asking more like what is the little peddle on rightside down by the foot boared
 
The small pedal in question is a differental lock or a posi-traction so both wheels will lock together and spin instead of one or the other.
 

You did good. Is it a gas or diesel?

Like any older machine, hopefully it has been properly cared for. They had a great diesel motor, strong hydraulics, and a pretty slick transmission for the early seventies. The rear end, etc was used on much more powerful models and so is really over built for a 454. Tin work can be a little hard to find but its out there if needed.

I've had a gas454 since 95. I have the owners manual also with diesel section if you need info let me know.
